Observing the wild through the lens

Gabrielle Ferneyhough

I am a 22 year old freelance photographer and creative visual artist initially from the Cotswolds but now reside in Cornwall. I've been captivated by the natural environment since I was a child, frequently fantasising about visiting remarkable locations and engaging with a wide variety of species throughout the world. Beginning my photographic journey in 2015, I documented wildlife and the natural world wherever I went. Although I am motivated and enthusiastic about documenting the natural environment, I wanted to broaden my photography in 2018, exploring an array of genres and styles such as street, architecture, portraiture, still life, events, and many more. Improving over time via education, learning about the technical elements of photography as well as the barriers that exist in the industry, I enrolled into Falmouth University a year ago, specialising in BA Marine and Natural History Photography and have since been building up my portfolio specialising in conservation photography and filmmaking.
